ABOUT
Montecito resident and acclaimed architect Marc Appleton and his firm have designed award-winning, site-sensitive houses and hotels immersed in traditional design languages, yet animated by a decidedly contemporary spirit.
A graduate of Harvard College (1968), Marc has a Masters of Architecture degree from the Yale School of Architecture (1972).
Marc Appleton established Appleton Partners LLP in 1976 and has distinguished offices in Santa Barbara and Santa Monica, California. Their firm has designed over 700 projects, which include restorations, additions, new construction, and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.

This residence has numerous custom details and finishes, as well as multiple French doors leading to exterior terraces, which invite panoramic ocean views into the expansive living spaces. A tribute to Marc Appleton's talent.

Since 1976, Appleton Partners has been featured in over 100 publications including the Los Angeles Times, Architectural Digest, Town & Country, Robb Report, Sunset, as well as numerous books and other periodicals.
His design work has received many distinguished awards such as Architectural Digest Top 100 Architects & Designers Award, Design Leadership Award, The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Award, The Arthur Ross Award, Board of Directors Honor, and the Pacific Design Center Westweek Star of Design Award. He has consistently been named one of AD’s top 100 Designers.
