Montecito Real Estate Market Snapshot

Are listings on the rise? That would be some welcomed news for Buyers as we head into Summer! Last week in Montecito we had six closed sales, and five new listings all under $8,000,000, with two new listings under $5,000,000. So far this month there have been approximately 7 closed sales, which compared to half-way through May 2021 (30 sales) and May 2020 (11 sales) seems pretty minimal. And take note, the desirable listings do not last long! This week's lowest listed property went under contract after just 3 days on the market. But, there is finally a new listing at Bonnymede, a 2bd/2.5ba townhouse just came on and it is the only unit currently on the market at this beachside development.

FUN FACT: From this week's new listings the highest price per square foot is $2,026 and the lowest price per square foot is $1,047.
