Weekly Market Snapshot
The second week of January saw a big uptick in showing activity with buyers back in the market looking for properties with not a lot to chose from. So far this year there have been 11 closed sales in Montecito, which is exactly where sales were at this point last year. New listings are coming on slowly and we are hearing of several off-market sales as buyer's agents who are “in the know” jump the cue and make offers before these properties hit the market. Multiple offers are becoming the norm for good homes and even with all the demand, properties that have been sitting are getting showings but those offers are coming in low. A tale of two markets!
