February has gone out with a bang! Last week new escrows were more than double the week prior and new listings were up 57% - demonstrating the strength of our current Montecito market. In February 2020 there were 16 closed sales in Montecito, this year that number is up nearly 44% with 23 sales. The luxury market (above $5M) is really what stole the show in February 2021 with a total of 7 sales, in contrast there were 3 sales below $2M. In 2020 there were only 2 sales above $5M and there were 5 sales below $2M. What will March have in store? Check back here next week.
